When developing AMARA Recovery Beverage, the doctors that we worked with stressed that the beverage should be isotonic. Isotonic beverages have the exact osmolality of your blood, meaning they have the same amount of electrolytes (salts and sugars). Too many electrolytes and the beverage becomes hypertonic (too many electrolytes) and isn’t absorbed quickly, too few and it becomes hypotonic (too few electrolytes). This is a critically important aspect of all beverages functionality that many recovery drinks have missed on, more is not better, sports drinks have proven that. We’ve done our best to match the osmolality of your blood, which is what you find in a standard IV.

I bought a case after I tried a can on st. patty's day when I was in san francisco- it was so tasty and i was surprised that I actually did not get a hangover. I thought it was gimmicky but after trying it and actually having it work i am a believer! I also use it when i need a boost for a gym or mid work day. I like that it isn't medicine tasting like a redbull but still works great. Def will be buying more in the future. And I like that its low carb too.

LUSH Recovery just became available at my gym and offers me the ability to rehydrate after my workouts without the calories and sugar but offers electrolytes and other ingredients that help repair the body after my long workouts. I didn't think much when I first saw it, but it works REALLY well especially when I am under stress and does not make me jittery at all and has a nice crisp citrus taste that's not syrupy or overly carbonated. It's now a part of my everyday regimen as I am training for a fitness competition and in my cutting cycle. Can't wait to stock up!

What an amazing beverage, it does everything it says it will and the best part is that it's all natural and not chalked full of artificial flavoring and chemicals. Since I eat organically, but do enjoy my occasional social evening with friends, this is perfect when I hit the gym the next day or to wake up early for work the next morning. Just had a case for my bachelorette party and the girls were so grateful to have this after we stopped drinking and then one the next morning. We were all back on our feet and did not have a hangover at all. Thank goodness for Lush- it's a MUST have!!!
